Being able to walk outside and pick organic fruit or veg is a great blessing. Since it is home grown, you don't have to worry about what might or might not have been added during the cultivation process. The design is informal and is structured in a way that everything grown can be used. The foliage and natural appearance of the various fruits and vegetables have been used together to structure the garden.

Moving onto the patio there are two steps leading back down toward the centre of the lawn. This centre bed is a herb bed. It is planted to represent a wagon wheel. In the centre of the wheel is a rustic water pot acting as a water feature, with a fountain in its centre. Each section is planted with a different herb. The sections are divided by rows of French marigolds. These are companion planted to chase away harmful insects. Companion planting has been used with the herbs to increase crop yields and decrease plant disease and other problems.
