This garden was designed for a hot climate. It made extensive use of the plants growing in the area. To adapt this design to your area you should replace some of the plants on the plant list. That is the fun of doing it yourself. You can include your favourite plants.

The Area and Site
The house is situated in an exquisite mountainous area. This home blends in well with the surrounding environment. The ground is slightly sloping (good for drainage). Services on the site include municipal services, irrigation system, sewage pipes and sanitation. Electricity had to be laid on for the garden lighting.

Free Garden Design Plans Description
The theme of the house and garden is based on a wagon and wagon wheels. Paving, pots and other focal points were installed. They were created to carry the theme through and to link everything together. The stars in the clear sky create a wonderful canopy for evening entertainment.
The style of the house is Rustic. The garden style links with the wooden window frames and doors. A wagon is the main focal point in the garden. It is placed on a rocky outcrop. An ornamental bag of corn, I rooster, 1 hen and three chicks are placed on the back of the wagon. This adds humor and shows attention to detail in the design. It also introduces the pioneer theme.
A bench and a water feature are placed on adjacent sides of the turf. This adds the human aspect and adds interest to the garden. The wagon wheel symbol is carried through the garden in various ways. The far side of the garden has an eco pond. It encourages wild life into the garden.
The main bedroom and barbeque area share a tropical garden. The garden is lit up at night through well positioned garden lighting. This affords busy people the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of a night garden. The complete design includes a backyard design plan, a front yard design plan and a courtyard design plan.
