Inspiration for Garden Landscaping Design, and Future Trends
Among so many and precious and invaluable discoveries, we have a motor vehicle, steels, glass, plastics, fibre optics, fibre glass, artificial fog, metals, neon, abstract art and conceptual art. These could have a positive influence in our landscaping ideas. Many of our garden design ideas have also been drawn from films and beautiful architecture.
Look beyond the obvious
People are expressing themselves in so many dimensions in life. This art of science allow designers to create functionally active, balanced and aesthetically pleasing works of art. The freedom of thought, creativity and diversity has been let loose.
Watch out World! Remove your blinkers; you’re in for an interesting and a fantastic treat. Future garden landscape designs are going to be better than anything the world has ever seen before. I say this because every generation appears more knowledgeable, dynamic, talented, daring and adventurous, you name it. They certainly seem to have more opportunities than any generation ever had.
Because of this, top world-class garden designers have set very high standards. Many other designers have tried to imitate or to outdo them. They have also tried to improve on their garden designs. Healthy competition has produced a higher quality, which in turn has produced true talent on a superb level of excellence.
I believe, by applying all the garden design principles, elements and goals, the progress we have made can only go forward and become more unique and rewarding. It is possible to carry on achieving all of this especially as we emulate the Great and Master Designer of the entire World itself. We should imitate the beautiful and exquisite nature around us in our garden landscaping designs. Nature provides us with endless landscaping ideas.
Because of the busy lifestyles that people lead, many of them are escaping to their gardens, for peace and upliftment . There every thing is hazard free. They are experiencing the soothing, calming effect that nature has to offer them. Many are enjoying a garden landscaping design that has been created and copied from nature with a specific theme linking their homes to their gardens.
In the future, the in-doors and out-doors will also be linked. As the architecture becomes more modern, I perceive the gardens becoming more modern, with a longing for nature and an in-born awakening to the beauties of creation.
Time has placed us in an information age. We know of the latest garden landscaping design trends. It is so inspiring to come in to contact with talented, imaginative, and innovative designers and feel of the energy, beauty and spirit of the gardens they have created. This is the case with the internationally famous Chelsea Flower Show of Britain; this show is regarded as being the showcase for future trends.
Their garden show spans the globe, the centuries and the generations. There the dynamic garden designer is at the forefront of our gardening trends. Many other designers tried to imitate these top garden designers in their garden landscaping designs. Many Nurseries also try and catch the spirit of Chelsea in their beautiful show gardens. Who knows what Chelsea will dictate in the future? Who will follow them? Time and the future will tell.
Because we copy nature in many of our garden designs, environmental protection in all its different degrees and forms will be addressed in the future. Canopies, sleepers and steps, etc., will all be within the ‘human comfort range’. The law dictates this and so do we. We are aware of the thinning ozone and will adapt our homes, furniture, and everything that we use to compensate.
Natural ferns inspire a tropical garden landscaping idea
Modern shelters, umbrellas, trees and all manner of plant species will also be designed to blend in with our surroundings. These have been introduced and will be continued as we work toward trying to save our planet. In the process, we will feel comfortable and content.
We have many machines of various sorts, irrigation systems and water wise advice for different plants. New thing are continually been discovered for example, the weed eater, garden vacuum cleaner, shredder, and many more conveniences for Grounds Maintenance Every one will be able to keep a well cared for, low maintenance garden. This is good as much time is saved.
Knowledge and available information, new trends and ideas allow us to plan ahead. This will help us to choose the size, plant selection and materials for our garden landscaping designs of the future. It takes more or less, eight years for a garden to establish itself.
We will design in such a way as to keep all the goals, the design principles and elements in mind. In order to be able to live with a garden design it must be workable. Future gardens will be well planned. People are becoming more organised and their personalities are reflected in their work, homes and gardens. Their gardens will be accessible as this will be their havens from the storms of life. As we live in an instant world, ‘let’s make it easy’, is one of our mottos for garden landscaping design.
What lies around the corner
Many of the homes of the future will be private. People need space and time to catch their breaths. Future homes and gardens will be built for relaxation and entertainment. Homes and gardens will also have some sort of screening.
Fantastic, new materials will be introduced to add wonder and beauty to future garden landscaping designs. Many new styles and designs of various materials, other than screenings, were also to be viewed at Chelsea.
Trends change, fashions come and go, and new owners appear on the scene. People change, they grow older and become more refined. Future garden landscaping designs will take this into account. Sensible garden designs will incorporate multi-use areas. Population in certain areas will dictate this, as both homes and gardens are becoming smaller.
‘The dress must be cut according to the size of the cloth’, the wise say. Every direction, be it material, water or plants, needs to be investigated. Future gardens will be economically designed according to the desires of the clients. Garden landscape designs will be executable and affordable. Gardens of the future will be investments.
The current and future generations are aware of the crisis our planet faces. We are doing our utmost, to save the world. Many people are leaving their televisions behind and returning to nature. Future generations will be more tuned into this, as they would have followed the example of their parents and others.
Likewise more people are practising ecological gardening. As you drive through the neighbourhood, garden signs may be seen saying; ‘all birds, bees and other insects are very welcome!’ I am obviously not serious but I wish I was.
We acknowledge water as a vital resource for all life forms. We treasure and respect it. Many marvellous and aesthetically pleasing garden landscaping designs have been created using water as a focal point.
Water seems to have a magical magnetic attraction. It has fascinated man since the beginning, maybe our watery births, baptisms or perhaps singing in the rain, may rekindle some of the emotions evoked about the precious water within us. I perceive that water is going to be the main ingredient for gardens of the future. Water is more precious than gold, pure water that is. It sustains life, it is the substance that gives life and beauty to gardens.
Wow, what a beautiful word! What a beautiful world we live in. I feel so special because it was created just for me and you too. I guess that’s why we copy nature. I’m sure future generations will continue to copy it. Beauty is the visual attraction that first stirs our soul. Then all the rest of our senses follow. They are just like upright, stacked dominoes that have been knocked over. Immediately we feel so inspired and uplifted that we find our facial expressions changing. We feel so much part of our surrounding environment that we become perfectly immersed.
A bright path leads to the future
We must always remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it is personal taste. Just as all the different coloured threads contribute into making a beautiful Persian rug. I in turn like to think of all the gardens of the earth making a beautiful mantle or cloak to cover our mother earth.
Some of the patterns on the earth’s rug, are exciting and beautiful, while others are dull and boring. But, at the end of the day, the boring gardens enhance the beautiful ones. The dark threads give depth and magnify the beauty of the lighter threads.
In future, garden designers will be making a brand new rug. The patterns will be new, interesting, innovative, imaginative, strong, bold, daring and filled with energy, having a tremendous spirit. All the information that will contribute towards making garden landscaping design successful, is available.
New information is continually been discovered. New materials of all forms and different ideas will also contribute towards the success and general image, atmosphere., mood and character of future gardens. Above all, as we return and copy nature, we will be inspired and beautiful gardens will be created. It is something to look forward to with great ANTICIPATION!!!
